At some point we lost sight of it - at least I did.

We watered down grace to just a theology. But it is so much more.

When grace is limited to just an idea, we loose what it means to experience it.

Suddenly it becomes “Do more.” “Be stronger.” “Don’t show that part of you.”

Just climb the ladder of spirituality. But it was never about that.

What if our weaknesses didn’t have to be hidden? What if they didn’t have to push us away from God? And didn’t have to disqualify us?

They never did, and they never will.

Rather - the very thing we think to be hidden, to push us away from God, to disqualify us. It becomes the very thing that ties us to Him.

Our weaknesses are like a magnet to His love.

Our brokenness - just the battle scars of the war that has already been won.

This is grace.

To know that our weaknesses could never separate us from Him.

Rather He makes them worth rejoicing in.

Because they are proof of a good God.

A God of love.

A God of grace.

We could never climb, but only fall into the arms of Jesus.

And that is where He meets us. That is where He is glorified.

So to the new believer, to the old believer, to the one seeking, to the church leader, to the person in ministry, to the person who looks around and feels like they are missing the mark.

Stop climbing. Instead, find Him in the fall.

And there may we boast only in our weaknesses, and the God who transforms them into testimonies of His unfathomable grace.
